Mildred Irene (Hoff) Bartosh was born to her biological birth parents Fred M. Williams and Cora Ethel (Bailey) Williams on Tuesday February 1, 1910 at Grand Island, Hall County Nebraska. Mildred had a biological brother Paul Clinton Williams. Mildred lost her mother at age three and was adopted by Dr. Alfred and Bessie Hoff. My research found no information on her childhood and early schooling. Mildred graduated from North Bend High in 1928. Mildred attended the University of Nebraska and was a member of the Alpha XI Delta Sorority. Mildred was united in marriage to Francis Bartosh on Saturday February 6, 1935 at her parent's home at North Bend, Dodge County with the Rev. Charles M. Corkie performed the ceremony, over the years of their marriage they were blessed with at least one daughter. Mildred was a member of the Chapter CT of the P.E.O. of North Bend. Mildred taught in the Howells, Colfax County public school. Later Mildred and Francis left to reside at Webster Groves, St. Louis County Missouri, they lived there until 1956 and then it was onto Garden Grove, Orange County California. Mildred was a church secretary for the Dr. Schuller's Consistory of Garden Grove Community Church, which later became Hour of Power and the Crystal Cathedral. Mildred was also employed in various church capacities until Mildred retired in 1985. Sadly Mildred passed at Chesterfield, St. Louis County Missouri on Thursday May 15, 2008 at the age of 98 years, 3 months, 14 days which does not include her last day, she lived a total of 35,898 days. My research found no information on Mildred's funeral. Mildred was interred in the Fairhaven Memorial Park at Santa Ana, Orange County California. Mildred's information was provided from researching many resources and my memory. This biography was created as an honor to Mildred by a family relative Loren R.
