He was born Dec. 26th, 1917 in Miami County to Isaac M. and Carrie B. (Snyder) Hoff. He married Frances (Ege) Hoff in Peru, March 26th 1938. She preceded him in death May 18th, 2001.
He was a retired carman for the C&O Railroad, and belonged to the Parkview United Methodist Church, Peru.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, earning the American Theatre Ribbon, the EAME Theater Ribbon and the WWII Victory Medal. He also recieved a Purple Heart for wounds suffered in the Rhineland Campaign in Germany.
He is survived by two sons, John R. Hoff, Peru, and Robert L. Hoff, Peru; one daughter Edna Pearce, Kissimmee, Fla; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Funderal services will be Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Ever Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.
