Daughter of Cuthbert "Cubitt" and Margaret (Stanton) Hodges.

"Lottie" immigrated to Canada in 1910, apparently to join her married sister in Owen Sound Ontario. They had had a difficult childhood with the entire family (father listed separately as absconded) in a workhouse in 1883. In September 1911, Lottie married widower Jacob Bramer of Hamilton and they had two daughters: Margaret Catharine and Elizebeth May. Lottie outlived Jacob by 13 years.
