GUYTON -- Carl Thomas Hodges, 54, died Wednesday at Effingham County Hospital
after a short illness.
The Bulloch County native had been employed by Thackston Steel in Statesboro.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Norma Robinson Hodges of Guyton; a daughter, Mrs. Patricia H. Williams of Guyton; four sons, Carl Thomas Hodges, Jr., of Ludowici, Joseph Andrew and Danny Edward Hodges of Guyton, and Stanley Paul Hodges of Richmond Hill; five sisters, Mrs. Polly Hooks, Mrs. Beretha Richardson and Mrs. Julie Rose Hodges all of Statesboro, Mrs. Eugenia Cowart of Columbia, S. C. and Mrs. Diane Renew of Augusta; four brothers, David and Terry Hodges, both of Statesboro, and Elbert and Charles Hodges, both of Greensboro, N. C. and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Terry C. Massey Funeral Home, burial in Gravel Hill Cemetery.
