Jean Hodges, age 83, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014. She was married to her grade school sweetheart, Sam, for 56 years, and together they had a lot of fun. Jean supported the war effort stateside while her husband served our country. Jean and her husband Sam spent decades living in different South American countries, traveling to Europe and Africa, and was a longtime resident of Alamo Heights. She was an avid golfer having made two holes in one and having played in many state wife golf tournaments. Her passion was traveling primarily in Europe in her later years. She loved the theater and movies both new and old. In her 70's she sky dived, scuba dived, flew a plane, and lived a very adventurous life.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

She is survived by her only son, Bradley and wife Diane Eames; and her three grandchildren, Kyle, Kathryn and Stephen Hodges; her cat, Smoke; and loving friends, especially Lilly. A special thanks to the entire staff at the Odyssey Hospice.

Visitation will be at Porter Loring Mortuary Monday, February 10th 6:00pm -7:00pm.
