James R. Hocking, June 29, 1935, to Jan. 24, 2013, was born and raised on the St. Charles Mesa, Pueblo, Colo. James passed away peacefully and was surrounded by his devoted family. James is survived by his loving wife, Judy; their children, Randy (Patti) Hocking, Rick Hocking, Debi Romine-Herndon (Larry), Kevin Thomason, Kris Schindler; sister, Marilyn Chesley; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gillard and Marguerite (Hartman) Hocking; his siblings, LeRoy (Elaine) Hocking, Betty (Jim) Kemple, Jean (Roy) Boughton and Joe (Lois) Hocking. His lifelong career was working as an operations manager in the data processing unit of the Department of Institutions for the State of Colorado. He led an active life; and loved activities such as square dancing, boating, water skiing and going to the local race car track with family and friends. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Judy, to Laughlin and Cripple Creek. He loved watching his granddaughters compete in water ski tournaments. He enjoyed NASCAR and traveling to various NASCAR venues with family. Another favorite was going to watch the Broncos. He will be sadly missed.
