Estella Foreman "Stella" Hoch Bilbee
Birth: Aug. 4, 1874
Wabash County
Indiana, USA
Death: Jan. 1, 1959
Marion County
Indiana, USA

Stella married Dallas Grant Bilbee on Mar 25, 1894 in Wabash Co., IN, they had 8 children.
Obituary Indianapolis, IN newspaper:

Friends were constantly amazed at the stamina of Estella F. Bilbee. Small of stature, she was nevertheless thought of by her children as "made of iron."

She was 84 when she died yesterday in her home, 5044 W. 13th ,Speedway. She had never had a serious illness until cancer struck her down two months ago.

Born in Wabash County, Mrs. Bilbee was the daughter of Samuel Hoch, a Civil War veteran.

Her husband, Dallas G. Bilbee, a farmer, died 37 years ago. She lived on a farm near Pittsboro several years, and after her husband died, she continued to operate the farm. Quiet but cheerful, she went right out in the field if it was necessary and worked like a man, sometimes even operating the farm machinery.

She milked cows, raised chickens, made garden. Early on winter mornings she would arise, build fires and get her children ready for the school bus.

Thirty-two years ago Mrs. Bilbee sold her farm and bought a home at Speedway, where she spent the rest of her life. There she rented out rooms for company as well as remuneration. She was a member of Speedway Christian Church and took an active part in the affairs of its women's organizations.

Mrs. Bilbee always looked forward to the second Sunday in July. That was the day for the family reunion and she enjoyed being with her eight children, 23 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 pm Sunday in Speedway Christian Church, with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Brownsburg. Friends may call at Conkle Speedway Funeral Home.

The surviving eight children are Mabel Davis, Lebanon; Trula Duncan, Ossian; Dwight Bilbee, Compton, Cal.; Cleo Delong and Floyd Bilbee, Speedway, and Catherine Starkey and Omar and William Bilbee, Indianapolis.
