TIFTON—Janie Hobby Faircloth, 91, of Tifton, died Monday, May 19, 2003, in Tifton. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Fourth Street Baptist Church. The Rev. Ken Conner and the Rev. Chuck Yzenski will officiate. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Rev. Curtis Mixon and staff and residents of Bradley Place. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Born April 24, 1912, in Tift County, Mrs. Faircloth was the daughter of Jessie Silas Hobby and Harriett Withers Hobby, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by a son, John C. Faircloth; three sisters and two grandsons, Scott and Mike Faircloth. Mrs. Faircloth was retired after 52 years with Avondale Mills. She had lived in Tift County all of her life and was a devoted mother and a member of Fourth Street Baptist Church. Mrs. Faircloth is survived by three sons, Delmar Faircloth of Bainbridge, Ed Faircloth of Palm Coast, Fla., and Frank Faircloth of Putney; one daughter, Nancy Courtoy of Tifton; one sister, Helen Hester of Tallahassee, Fla., 10 grand children and seven great-grandchildren. Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
