Dorothy was born in Guymon Oklahoma to Frank and Bertha Hobbs and passed away in Turlock California at the age of 94. Dorothy grew up in San Francisco where she graduated from high school. A homemaker all of her adult life, Dorothy loved to cook and entertain her family with her husband Lee. Everyone was always “welcome” in her home. She also had a passion for painting and music and was an excellent seamstress. In Dorothy’s later years she married Harold Garrod and they had thirteen wonderful years together. She also enjoyed trips to Black Oak Casino and summer vacations in beautiful Lake Tahoe.

Dorothy is survived by her three daughters Sandra Conway, Phyllis Caldwell and Gail Brust; two son-in-laws Mike Beare and Doug Caldwell; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Lee, only sister Frances and second husband Harold.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 1st at noon in San Mateo at Skylawn Memorial Park.
