Uncle George was an actor. He appeared in many films and TV shows from 1940 through 1973. Among them are "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" (1953), "I Want To Live" (1958), "Viva Las Vegas" (1964), "Columbo" (TV Series, 1973),"The Doris Day Show" (TV Series, 1972), "Perry Mason" (TV Series 1962), "The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet" (TV Series 1964-1965), "The Big Valley" (TV Series 1968), "The Wild Wild West" (TV Series 1967-1969) and many, many more - two pages full.

Uncle George's wife, Louise Lane (Johnson) Hoagland, also worked as an actress for many years.

They were a fabulous couple, who met when in their early 20's and didn't have much money. They were married in Las Vegas. Saved their money for years before being able to pay a down payment on a house.

I sent Uncle George a tape recorder and tapes in 2011 and asked him if he'd record how he and Aunt Louise met. He did and he also expressed his great love for her, even though she passed away March 10, 1996. They are both in Heaven now and, along with their little baby girl, who died in 1944, will all be in the hands of God forever.
