WARSAW: Lloyd "Bud" Hively, 75, rural Pierceton, died at 2:36 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2002, at Kosciusko Community Hospital.
He was born on July 8, 1926, in Pierceton, to Foster and Beulah (Leedy) Hively. He married Donna Hartzler in 1951, in Louisville, Ky. She survives.
A lifelong Kosciusko County resident, he was a construction supervisor for Sollitt Construction, South Bend, for 23 years. He also worked at Warsaw High School and Construction Control. He raised and showed registered Ramboule sheep and bred and showed Hackney ponies. He attended Morris Chapel United Methodist Church, and was a member of Pierceton Masonic Lodge No.377, Scottish Rite and Mizpah Temple, Fort Wayne, and the Pierceton American Legion No.258.
Also surviving are two sons, Bruce Hively, Pierceton, and Douglas Hively, Dallas, Ore.; a stepson, William Jerry Frush, Warsaw; a stepdaughter, Karel Mulchay, Pasadena, Texas; five grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and 13 stepgreat-grandchildren. Two brothers and one stepgranddaughter are deceased.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Pastor Randy Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
