Pastor's Wife Dies Of Seizure

Mrs. Tressie Lena Dodd Hissom,
66, of 1726 Crescent Rd.,
died Sunday at her home after
a heart attack Saturday.
She was the wife of Rev. Earl
G. Hissom, founder and pastor
of Hissom Holiness Tabernacle.
Active in church work in
Charleston, she was secretary
and treasurer of Hissom Tabernacle.
Also surviving are five sons. Rev.
Earl Jr., Charles, Albert, Earnest
and George, all of Charleston;
five daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth
Cash, Mrs. Mary F. Wilson, Mrs.
Carol Ross, Mrs. Roxie Hamer
and Mrs. Betty Atkins, all of
Charleston: three brothers, Luther
and Earnest Dodd, both ol
Charleston, and James Dodd of
St. Albans; four sisters, Mrs.
Clara Strait of Huntington, Mrs.
Gertrude Melton of Tampa, Fla.,
Mrs. Vienna Humphreys and Mrs.
Odessa Farris, both of Charleston;
38 grandchildren and 15
great-grandchildren.
Service will be conducted at
p. m. Tuesday in Hissom Holiness
Tabernacle by Rev. Tom
LePue and Rev. Marvin Haynes.
Burial will be in Floral Hills
Garden of Memories on Sissonville
Road.
The body at Cunningham
Funeral Home, will be taken to
the church at 10 a. m, Tuesday
