Mary Leathia Cuffee-Wilson, 82, of the 2100 block of Cuffee Road, entered into eternal rest April 22, 2003 and went home to be with the Lord. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rosa Hinton.
She is survived by her husband, Curfew Wilson; four sons, Angelo (Connie) Cuffee, Belvin Cuffee Sr., Russell (Catherine) Cuffee and Wayne (Jennifer) Cuffee; three daughters, Deloris Spence, Brenda Browder and Trina Cuffee; two stepsons, Curfew Wilson Jr. and Carlton Wilson; three stepdaughters, Georgia (Harold) Price, Joyce Wilson and Zennettia Wilson; a special granddaughter who she raised as a daughter, Sandra (Lenwood) Adams; a sister, Eva Sivels; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and many special friends.
A homegoing service will be held Saturday at noon at Gabriel Chapel AME Zion Church, 2216 Longridge Road, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be today from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
