Mr. Hinson was born January 2, 1921, in Gadsden County and was a member of the Concordia Baptist Church. He served in WW II with the Navy Air Corps; and as a member of the Agricultural Stabilization & Conservation Service of Gadsden County for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Augustina M. Hinson of Concord; three sons, David Hinson (Margie) and Don Hinson (Darlene) of Jacksonville, and Roger Hinson (Terri) of Havana; three daughters, Linda Hinson (and family friend Janie Bennett) of Havana, Nancy Hinson Hutson (David) of Jacksonville, and Suzy Hinson Urenda of Ft. Walton Beach; one brother, Dan Hinson of Havana, and one sister, Janie Hinson Sadler of Havana; eight grandsons, Travis, Trevor and Cody Hutson, Michael Caldwell, John-Michael and Matthew Hinson, Hunter Hinson and Zachary Cresse; and six granddaughters, Brooke Hutson, Lindsey Hinson Knipple, Shannon Ray, Nikki, and Karli Hinson and Kierstin Cresse.
