Elizabeth Irene "Patsy" Konkle Hinman, 59, of Vevay, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville.
She was born March 13, 1950, in Madison, the daughter of Darrell J. and Ethel Francis Harmon Konkle. She lived in Switzerland County most of her life. She worked as a top-stitcher at the U.S. Shoe Factory in Vevay from 1966 to 1987. She worked from 1987 to 1997 as a line supplier for Grote Manufacturing. She was a former employee of American Racing in Warsaw, Ky., and TEI Construction in Florence, Ky. She was a member of Jefferson Post #9 of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Bennington United Methodist Church. She loved gardening, sewing and crocheting.
She is survived by two sons, Tracy Hinman of Florence and Terry Hinman of Bennington; one daughter, Tandra Hinman of Milton, Ky.; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Hinman, whom she married May 18, 1966; her parents; and her brothers Gary L. Konkle, who died Oct. 27, 1998, and Larry G. Konkle, who died April 27, 2001.
