Buried at Corydon
The remains of Benjamin Hillyard, a pioneer resident of Wayne county, were buried at Corydon Monday beside those of his wife who died about six months ago. Mr. Hillyard died at St. Joseph, Mo., last Friday. Deceased was 68 years of age and leaves a family of eight children of whom the following were present at the burial: Edward of Clinton, Iowa; L.O. of Dubuque, Iowa; N. S. of St. Joseph, Mo., and Mrs. Anna Mulford of Cheyenne, Wyo. A son-in-law, Pearl Rush, was also present. Mr. Hillyard was a brother of Geo. Hillyard
of this place, and resided on a farm west of Allerton for about thirty-five years.
N.S. Hillyard of St. Joseph, Mo., was a caller at the News office Tuesday from whom we gather the above facts as to his father.
