MRS. MARY E. BARTOW
Mary Elizabeth Hillhouse was born February 26, 1866, in Missouri, the family moving to Kansas several months later, settling near Glasco, where she grew to womanhood.

She was married in 1886 to J.V. Bartow, to this union three children were born, two dying in childhood.

She leaves one son, Earl and his wife and one grandson, Bobby, and the following brothers and sisters, J.R. Hillhouse, Kerman, California; D.H. Hillhouse, Belleflower, California; Mrs. Jesse Williams, St. Louis, Missouri; Mrs. Margaret Hare, Glasco, Kansas; and Mrs. A.E. Abbott of Herman, California.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bartow were held at the Salina Funeral Home Saturday morning, Rev. L.A. Brumbaugh, of the Christian Church, of which she was a member in charge. Interment was made in the Glasco Cemetery.

Mrs. Bartow was a resident of Glasco for many years, but had lived in Salina for the last seven years with her son, Earl and family. The husband, J.V. Bartow died in 1913.
