Della Elizabeth Anderson, age 80, of Laurie, passed away Monday afternoon, June 26, 2006 at her home. She was born April 6, 1926 at Purvis, Missouri, a daughter of Thomas and Thelma Avery Hill. She was united in marriage on May 14, 1948 at Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church in Laurie, with Evert L. Anderson who preceded her in death on October 15, 1994. Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker, member of Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, West Side Senior Citizens and bowling leagues at Laurie Lanes. She is survived by two sons, Roger L. Anderson and wife Peggy, of Coolidge, Texas, and Douglas R. Anderson of Laurie, and his wife Dee of Versailles; one daughter, Linda E. Lading of Middleburg, Florida; six grandchildren, Victoria Starcher of Columbia, Aprel Knapp of Middleburg, FL, Ellen Hansen of Chadron, NE, Douglas E. Anderson, Elizabeth Anderson, and Christian Anderson, all three of Laurie; three great-grandchildren, Matthew Starcher of Columbia, Cody Pflieger of Middleburg, FL, and Jack Starcher of Columbia; one sister, Barbara Jean Wilken of Sedalia; many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Clinton D. Anderson, one brother John Hill, and four sisters, Ilene Anderson, Joan Collins, Mary Lee Crabtree and Kay Greenley. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 29, at Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church in Laurie, with Rev. Rick White officiating, and a eulogy given by her sister Barbara Jean Wilken. Roger Anderson will sing "How Great Thou Art", "When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder" and "In The Garden" accompanied at the organ by Allen Wilken. Interment will be in Ozark Chapel Cemetery. Casketbearers will be David Wilkens, Stanley Wilkens, Cody Anderson, Stephen Anderson, Douglas Everett Anderson and Adam Anderson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach Chapel in Laurie. To send sympathy e-mails for the family visit www.kidwellgarber.com.
