Ketie Bowlin

Mrs. Ketie Hill Bowlin, 96 yrs. old, born in Henry County, August 17, 1873, died at 1:45pm, Monday, February 16th, at her home in Dresden after a long illness. She was the youngest of ten children born to the late William L.D. and Elizabeth Ann Hill. She was married to James R. Bowlin, September 24, 1903. He preceeded her in death on October 24, 1939.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 18th, at 2:00pm at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with James Heisner and Mike Davis officiating.

She is survived by a son, S.T. Bowlin of Dresden; five daughters, Mrs. William Parks and Mrs. Harlowe Ray, all of Dresden, Mrs. James Ross of Highland Park, Michigan, and Mrs. Raymond Morton of Memphis; eight grandchildren, Mrs. Lucille Truitt, Jimmy B. Dilday, and Joe Hoyt Dilday of Dresden, Charles Dilday of Memphis, Penny Lynn Ray of Martin, William Ray of Union City, Mrs. Sue Shannon of Detroit, and James A. Ross of Anchorage, Alaska; and 17 great grand-children.

Burial was in Sunset Cemetery with Bowlin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Russell Alexander, R.L. Cooper, Bill Mayo, Lloyd Reavis, Homer Bradberry, and Dale Hutcherson.
