Belleville for interment.

Belleville Telescope October 27, 1887

Died;--At her home in Stockton township,
October 18,1887, Caroline, wife of A.J. Hill
aged 54 years, 10 months and 26 days. De-
ceased was born in Ohio November 22, 1832,
moved to Indiana when a child, wher she was
married to A. J. Hill on November 22, 1850.
Moved to Republic county, Kansas, in 1870,
thence to Rooks county in 1885. She was the
mother of six children, five of whom are living.
She was baptised and joined the Christian
church when quite young; in 1876 she accepted
the bible hope of eternal life only in Christ,
and since then has been looking and longing
for the return of the life giver, Jesus.
She leaves a husband and five children to
mourn their loss. To know her was to love
her, but we sorrow not as others who have ho
hope. Furneral services were held her home
October 19. Words of comfort were spoken by
Elder H. R. Kendall from Rev. 14:13.
Dearest mother we shall miss thee,
Now no more thy voice we hear,
But though gone we still shall bless thee,
For to us thou wast most dear.
