Mrs. Betty Elizabeth Wills was born in Amos county, Va., November 14, 1827, and died at the home of her son, Robert Wills, October 7, 1918, at the age of 90 years, 10 months and 23 days.
The deceased was married to William James Wills in 1867 to which union one son was born.
She moved to Nebraska in 1870, living in Ode county for 26 years. Her husband passed away two years before she came to Kansas.
Mrs. Betty Elizabeth Wills has made her home with her son for the past 20 years. Mrs. Wills for a long time has been a member of the Baptist church and living an upright Christian life.
She leaves to mourn her loss her son, Robert Wills, a brother, and a sister.

About 1896 Betty moved from Nebraska City to Kansas to live with her son, Robert. Family legend says she died destitute and granddaughter, Nina, says she lived the last few years with son, Robert, and family at Narka, Ks. Bur. Maple Grove Cemetery, Narka, Kansas m. James Wills. James is buried at Palmyra, Nebr., northeast corner of the White lost in Rosewood Cemetery. (see page 31)
