He was born February 28, 1935, in Peoria County to Claude A. and Rosa L. (Budde) Hill. He married Sondra A. "Sandy" Cameron on February 5, 1972 in Peoria. She died February 12, 2009, in Peoria.
Chuck is survived by his four children, Marchelle (Tim) Taylor of Mexico, Missouri, Curt Hill of Dixon, Susie (Mike) Malone of Henry and Angela (Tiffany) Strickler-Werth of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren, Tyler (Lane) Taylor of Toccoa, Georgia, Rachelle (Joshua) Pfeifer of Lonejack, Missouri, Zachary Taylor of Springfield, Missouri, Challise Taylor of Mexico, Missouri, Rachel and Joshua Hill, both of Granville, Brandon (Anna) Serpette of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Blake Serpette of Bloomington and Tiffany Strickler and Aiden Werth, both of Lincoln; three great-grandchildren; five brothers and a sister, Vernon Hill of Indiana, Alvin Hill of Bushnell, Nick Hoffman of Hanna City, Ron (Leann) Hoffman and Don Hoffman, both of Georgia, and Dorothy (Ralph) Kemp of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Chuck was a United States Army veteran.
He worked as a brass repair technician for Kidder Music in Peoria for 41 years. He want ed to thank Jim, Ed and Beth for their kindness.
Chuck was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Edwards, Peoria County Farm Bureau and Pottstown Cemetery Association.
Chuck loved his Lord, Jesus Christ, who died for him. He and his wife served Him all their married life. Now they are with the Lord forever. Praise the Lord!
Service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2016, at The Wilton Mortuary in Peoria. The Rev. Gary Roseboom will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016, at the mortuary. Interment will take place in Pottstown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his church, Peoria Rescue Ministries or Pottstown Cemetery Association, c/o Katie Barth, 4215 N. Koerner Road, Peoria, IL 61615.
