Inez (Giesenschlag) Hill, a lifelong resident of Burleson County died Sunday evening at Copperas Hollow Nursing and Rehab Center in Caldwell.

Inez was born on October 14, 1919 in the Lone Oak Community of Burleson County, near Snook, the daughter of Edward and Maggie (Maass) Giesenschlag. She was baptized in the Lone Oak Baptist Church and she graduated from Somerville High School in 1938. On New Year's Eve of 1938, she married Bryan W. Hill, Sr. in Somerville.

Inez was always involved in her community and was a Yegua Band Booster, a regular who spent many hours sitting at the Somerville Historical Society Museum, a Somerville Senior Citizen Volunteer and a very active member of First Baptist Church in Somerville, serving as a Sunday school teacher of the "Dorcas" class for over 20 years.

She still had time to be a regular member of the Dairy Queen bunch as well as serve as Secretary/Treasurer for the Giesenschlag Cemetery for many years. Inez enjoyed listening to music and visiting with people. She had so much fun when her children and grandchildren were around her.

Inez is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Vivian; her brother, Leon "Buck" Giesenschlag; and her husband, Bryan William Hill, Sr.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Bryan William Hill, Jr. and his wife, Carol of Grand Prairie, and Edward "Scooter" Hill and his wife, Glenda of Lyons; her daughter, Beverly Broesche of Snook; special friend and caregiver, Carol Hill of Somerville; three grandchildren, Shawn K. Broesche of Brenham, Lance B. Broesche of Snook and Bryan William Hill, III of Cedar Hill; along with numerous other relatives.
