Mr. Hill was born in Milltown, NJ. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving as a cadet detachment officer, and as a second lieutenant and pilot instructor. After the war, he attended Rutgers University, receiving a bachelor of science degree in business administration. Mr. Hill received his master of business administration degree from Wharton Graduate School, University of Pennsylvania. In his youth he was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Throughout his life he supported the Scouts and was recognized as a member of the National Eagle Scout Association. A ham radio operator, he was a member of the American Radio Relay League.
