Elsie was born on May 29, 1912, at Corbin, British Columbia, Canada to John and Herma (Lee) Hill.

She moved to the United States to the Anaconda and Butte area. She married George Cosgriff on Oct. 21, 1929, in Butte. Following their marriage, they made Anaconda their home.

George died on March 26, 1983. Following his death, she continued to reside in Anaconda.

Elsie enjoyed fishing, sewing and going on picnics, family and friends, and she especially enjoyed playing Mrs. Santa Clause to the kids.

Elsie passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at the Community Nursing Home of Anaconda at the age of 101.

Elsie is survived by nieces and nephews, Joan and Tom Lange, Tami Copper and her son Ryan, Bill Hill and family, Pat Haines and numerous other relatives.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Ruth and Alice; brothers, Harry and Joe; and a nephew, Frank Haines.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1300 W. Park, Anaconda.

Interment will be at the Lower Hill Cemetery, Anaconda.
