Mary Louise Brooks Hill
SHREVEPORT - Services for Mrs. Mary Louise Brooks Hill, of Shreveport, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday April 27 at Broadmoor Baptist Church. Dr. John Sullivan, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial: Forest Park Cemetery.
Visitation hours: 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rose-Neath's Marshall Street Chapel.
Mrs. Hill, a homemaker and resident of Shreveport for 48 years, died Monday April 25, 1988, in Shreveport after a short illness.
She was born in Stanly County, N.C. Mrs. Hill was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church, the Priscilla Sunday School Class and the June Young Group No. 11 Women's Missionary Union.
Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her father, Edgar Marcellus Brooks, a Baptist minister in New London, N.C, her mother, Emrna Eugenia Morton Hill, a sister, Clara Brooks Graham, and two brothers, Allen Brooks and Cade Brooks.
She is survived by her husband, John B. Hill, Jr. of Shreveport; three daughters, Ann Marie Casso and husband, Bernard L. Casso, Jr., Janet Hill and Carolyn Grogan and husband. Dexter L. Grogan, IIII, all of Shreveport; two brothers, Cullen P. Brooks of Chatham, Va. and E. Macon Brooks of Fayetteville , N.C; two grandchildren, David and Emily Casso of $hreveport; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Lynwood Cobb, Joe Bonds, Claude McCrocklin, Ronnie Bounds, Joe Hadley, Pete Williams, Alvin Birkelbach and Bob Row.
Honorary pallbearers: deacons of Broadmoor Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to Broadmoor Baptist Church building fund.
