Wife of Leo P. Hill, mother of Donald. May have died of diphtheria.
WIFE OF SOLDIER BOY DIES; LEAVES BABY
Sympathy of all in the community went out to Soldier boy Leo Hill and his little ten days old baby. Monday when the announcement of the death of Mrs. Hill, the young wife and mother was announced. Mrs. Hill for several weeks been very ill.
Mr. Hill was one of the first to enter the army from the neighborhood. He was in training at the Camp at Houston, Texas, Camp Logan. A message was sent to him at once and a reply indicated he would arrive home tomorrow.
It is expected the funeral will be held tomorrow.
Mrs. Hill suffered from a severe aliment of the throat the exact nature of which had not been determined. There is doubt as to whether or not it was diphtheria. Her mother-in-law, now is suffering from what appears to be diphtheria. Steps have been taken to indentify the disease and a report is expected probably tomorrow.
LateróBy order of the Board of Health, it will be necessary to hold the funeral service, which will be private, at 6 o'clock tonight and burial will be in Princeville cemetery.
