Carl W. Hildebrand, 69, of Clay City, died at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at Flora Healthcare Center.

Mr. Hildebrand was born December 14, 1941, in Clay County, the son of Carl "Rudy" and Norma (McKinney) Hildebrand.

He was a retired truck driver. He was of the Christian faith.

Mr. Hildebrand is survived by his daughter, Carla Colclasure, of Clay City; son, James Hildebrand, of Flora; son, Jeffery Hildebrand, of Olney; daughter, Julie (James) Bullock, of Mascoutah; sister, Cinda Hildebrand, of Clay City; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Norma Hildebrand; one son, Michael; one sister, Linda; and companion, Marcia Emmerich.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Clay City.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Minister Darrel Brandon officiating.

Burial will be in Smith Cemetery in Sailor Springs.

Memorials may be made to Clay City Christian Church.
