AVON-Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Anderson, 87, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Etter Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. John Chaffee, and interment will follow in Hebron Baptist Church cemetery at Avon.
Mrs. Anderson, who died early yesterday at her home in Avon, was born on July 7, 1876, in Allegheny County, a daughter of the late David Dillard and Annie Fox Hildebrand.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Oliver Anderson, in 1917.
Mrs. Anderson was a member of Hebron Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Harold C. (Mary Lee) O'Neill of Richmond; five sons, John David Anderson, Robert Willard Anderson, Charles Clyde Anderson and James Madison Anderson, all of Afton, and Henry Oliver Anderson of Seaford, Del.; three sisters, Mrs. Hubert C. Brower and Mrs. David N. Weaver, both of Waynesboro, and Mrs. Bessie Irene Hughes of Carrollton, Ky.
Also nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews survive.
Active pallbearers will be John D. Anderson Jr., Coy W. Anderson, H. Clifton Anderson, Lloyd Beasley, Frank M. Williams and R. D. Anderson.
Honorary pallbearers will be James R. Painter, Charles H. Gochenour, Hunter Williams, Emmett Higgenbotham, Jasper Smith, Seaton Farrar, Samuel Snell, Henry Cook, Virgil Anderson, Louis Fox, Robert Foster, Joseph Pugh, Robert McGregor and James Blackwell.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:30 until 8:30 tonight.
