Mrs. Higgins was born April 8, 1933.
She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 226 in Mayo.
Mrs. Higgins was a homemaker for most of her life, and enjoyed feeding ducks and birds, fishing, gardening and boating.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Brady Higgins; and one brother, Johnny Kuper.
Survivors include one son, Kevin Higgins of Edgewater; one daughter, Kim D. Fantozzi of Owings; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
