Zola Faye Behringer

Zola Faye Behringer, 73 of Whitney died Wednesday, January 3, 1990, in the Lake Whitney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday at Marshall and Marshall Chapel in Whitney, the Rev. E.K. Bleveins officiating. Followed by a Rebecca ceremony. Burial was at Bethlehem Cemetery near Whitney.
Pall bearers were Paul Sims, Weldon Triplett and Hank Finley of Whitney and three nephews, Cordell Hickman, Paul Richert of Ennis and Bobby Rodgers of Waxahachie.
Mrs. Behringer was born February 8, 1916, in Alvarado and moved to Garrett when a small child. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W.N. Hickman. She had lived in Whitney since 1944 and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit no. 361 of Ennis and the Rebecca Lodge No. 300 in Whitney. She was a Baptist. Mrs. Behringer was preceded in death by three brothers, Wendell Hickman, Joe Hickman and Wallace Hickman.
Survivors include her husband, Drew Behringer of Whitney; two brothers, Weldon Hickman of Pottsboro and Gene Hickman of Irving; four sisters, Zonelle Rodgers and Zula Martin, both of Waxahachie and Vida Rickert and Mildred Neaves both of Ennis.
