Ocie Mae Clem, 86, passed away on Aug. 18, 2005, at her home in Woodlake.
Born Jan. 30, 1919, in Paris, Ark. She married William Otis Clem on March 2, 1935, and lived in Branch, Ark., where their second son was also born. In 1942, they moved to Alameda, Calif., where they both worked in the shipyards during the war where she became a welder. In 1946, they moved to Woodlake where they remained. She worked at a local packinghouse for 30 years as a packer. She was a very devoted, caring and loving grandmother.
She is survived by one brother, Marshall Hice and his wife, Jean of Apple Valley; one sister, Alma Rackley of Roland, Okla.; three grandchildren, Steve Clem, Kevin Clem and Cindy Clem; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Billie Eugene Clem in 1936, her husband, William Otis Clem in 1990, and her son, Otis Junior Clem in 2000.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Memorial Chapel in Woodlake. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be at Woodlake Cemetery.
