Accompanied by her parents she came to Iowa at the age of three, settling on a farm near Seymour. In 1882 she was united in marriage to Albert Moore at Jerome and since then she resided in Jerome and vicinity. This holy union was blessed with nine children: James Alvin of Mystic, Orrie Boringe of Centerville, Charles of Oregon, George of Plano, Elsie Wakefield of Mystic, Carley, who died in infancy, Arch of Kansas City, Bessie Blair of Mystic, and Frank of Des Moines.

Mrs. Moore spent practically all her life since marriage in the vicinity of Plano and Jerome, where she made a wide circle of friends who are indeed saddened by her departure.
