MUNCIE--Twylla D. (Tillie) Aul, 71, died Saturday in the Waters of Yorktown after a long illness.
Mrs. Aul was born in Portland and moved to the Muncie area as a child. She owned and operated the Celebration Center for several years before retiring. She also had worked for AFTCO Corp. She was a member of St. Mary's Caholic Church, Jolly Homemakers Club and a life member and four-term president of the Soroptimist Club.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, R. Ed Aul; four sons, Steve, Ed Aul, Greg and David Aul; three daughters, Julie Toivonenm, Teresa Hardman and Jeanine Green; 15 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Patricia L. Hardin; a half-brother, Bill Milam, and a stepbrother, Ralph Pinney.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Calling will be 3-8 p.m. Monday at Meeks Mortuary with a scripture service at 8 p.m., and an hour before services Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
