Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and wife, JoAnne Lucile Bair Heywood, passed away on February 24, 2009 in St. George, Utah surrounded by her family. She resided at 1632 Lava Flow Drive in St. George, Utah at the time of her death.
Born in Willard, Utah on May 25, 1930 to Lucile Benedict Bair.
She graduated from Box Elder High School and Weber College. She met and married her sweetheart, Marvin Heywood in Ogden, Utah.
She was an avid golfer and involved in several ladies golf associations. She loved to travel, sew, quilt and cats.
She was an election judge in Bountiful for many years. She volunteered at the Bookmobile, PTA and Girl Scouts.
She was a display organizer at the Utah State Fair, Past President of the Bountiful Ladies of Elks and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Marvin Heywood. three daughters, Marilyn (Tom) Day, Cashmere, WA. Susan (Steven) Hunt, San Pablo, Philipines, Leslianne (Chris) Gale, Centerville, Eight grandchildren, Jenifer and Amy Day, Angie (Darell) Arnell, Jon (Chandel) Hunt, Krista Hunt, Andrew, Nicolas and Taylor Gale and eight great-grand children.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah at 2:00 p.m. A viewing one hour prior to the services.
Interment at the Bountiful Memorial Park.
