Mrs. Derrick died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999. Born in Batesburg, she was a daughter of the late M. C. and Jewell Senterfeit Heyward. She was employed for Hartwell Industries for 25 years. She was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church, WMU, Betty Ricard Sunday School Class.
Surviving are her husband, Edward F. Derrick; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Wendy Derrick of Leesville; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Joey Waters of Gilbert; brother, Leon Heyward of Batesburg; sisters, Marilyn Corder of Batesburg, Sandra Heyward of Columbia; grandchildren, Kayla and Jason Waters.
Services for Kay Heyward Derrick 49, will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, 1999 at First Calvary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
