Mrs. Ollie Lee Adkins, 71, Louisa, died Friday in a local hospital following an extended illness.
Mrs. Adkins was born July 2, 1903, at Yatesville, a daughter of the late Burch and Mattie Saters Hewlett.
She was a member of the Louisa Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dora Mae Kirk of Inez, and Mrs. May [Mary, sic] Burchett of Goodyear, Ariz.; three sons, Willard Franklin
Adkins of Pittsburg, Pa., Ernest Adkins of Ashland, and Dallis [Dallas] Adkins of Louisa; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Evans of Columbus; three
half-sistes, Mrs. Maudie White and Ms. Ruby Adkins, both of Columbus, and Mrs. Reo Gifford of Huntington; a brother, Elver Hewlett of Columbus; a half-brother, Junior Hewlett of Monticello, N.J.; a stepmother, Mrs. Nannie
Hewlett of Ashland; 35 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday from the Young Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gallie Isaac and the Rev. Fred Vanhorn officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery.
