Henry County native Elizabeth McMillen Heuss, 87, of Dallas died May 5, 2010.

Locally, she leaves a brother, Charles (Margaret) McMillen of Paris.

Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas. Burial followed Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Sunnyvale, Texas.

Born Feb. 6, 1923, in Paris, she was the daughter of the late D.B. and Novella McMillen.

She also leaves three sons: David (Barbie) Heuss, Dan Heuss and John (Robin) Heuss; one daughter: Bobbie (John) Taylor; five grandchildren: Erin (Steven) Bright, Jeremy (Shannon) Heuss, Jennifer (Brian) Frater, John W. Carroll II and John Charles Taylor; and four great-grandchildren: Kylie and Caden Bright, Zane Bandfield and Finley Frater.

She also was preceded in death by a daughter: Jean H. Carroll; a granddaughter: Janice Carroll; and a brother and sister-in-law: David and Ruth McMillen, who lived in San Luis Obispo, Calif.

Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, passed away in the early morning hours of May 5th, 2010. Born February 6, 1923 in Paris, TN to D.B. & Novella McMillen.

Proceeded in death by her daughter Jean H. Carroll, grand daughter Janice Carroll and brother & sister-in-law David & Ruth McMillen of San Luis Obispo, CA. Survived by her brother Charles McMillen and wife Margaret of Paris, TN. Children David Heuss and wife Barbie, Dan Heuss, John Heuss and wife Robin, daughter Bobbie Taylor and husband John. Grandchildren Erin Bright and husband Steven, Jeremy Heuss and wife Shannon, Jennifer Frater and husband Brian, John W. Carroll II and John Charles Taylor.

Great Grandchildren Kylie and Caden Bright, Zane Bandfield and Finley Frater.

Elizabeth will always remain in our hearts, in our deeds, in our thoughts and in our prayers. In her words, "Ain't Life Grand".
