COOPER, Cecile Jeanne (Hess) "Cele" Cooper was a graduate of Pomona College with a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from UCLA. She was chief of her department at Cedars-Lebanon (now Cedars-Sinai) Hospital for many years, and in private practice for nearly 40 years. She was married to Harvey Cooper for 16 years, and they had four sons, David Mark Cooper, Scott Kevin Cooper, Grant Robert Cooper, and Gregg Gilbert Cooper. In addition to her four sons, she is survived by five grandchildren, Justin David Gordon-Cooper, Trevor Drew Loughan Cooper, Sean Thomas Cooper, Katelyn Winifred Cooper, and Jackson Drew Cooper. It is with great sorrow that her magnificence and friendship are now absent from our lives. A memorial service to honor and celebrate our mother will be held at the Unitarian Church, 1260 18th Street, Santa Monica, CA, Saturday, November 17, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. A reception will follow.
