June R. Heslop died May 6, 2011 due to incident of old age in Clinton, Utah at her daughter's home. She was born June 30, 1915 in Logan, Utah to George and LaNez Mathews Rasmussen. June married Myron Heslop May 23, 1942 in Southern Idaho.
In 1953 June and Mike moved their family to LaGrande, Oregon where they lived and worked on their farm. In 1964 the family returned to Ogden. June attended Weber State College and graduated as an LPN. She worked for Dr. Kearns in his office. She later worked at the Dee and McKay Hospitals. After retirement she worked as a volunteer through Ogden Regional monitoring blood pressure at Goldenwest Credit Union.
June was a member of the LDS Church. She sang in the Ward Choir and enjoyed giving compassionate service to the members of the ward through the Relief Society. June was a frequent patron at the Ogden Temple. She loved music, gardening and enjoyed traveling with her husband.
June is survived by daughter, Jari (Larry) Eschete of Clinton; son Michael (Shirley) Heslop of Roy; 10 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson; along with her special niece and nephew Barbara and Bob Young. She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron and brother, Bicknell Bench.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff and friends of Country Pines, Legacy Hospice, Marie and Shawna.
