Margaret Bolotnik, known as "Peggy" Bolotnik, age 91, of Howell, Michigan, formerly of Detroit, passed on Saturday, June 28, 2012, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Howell, Mi.
Margaret was born on August 2, 1920, in Flint, Michigan, to Michael Hesch and Christina (Fleischer) Hesch. She moved at a young age with her family from Flint, Mi to Youngstown, Ohio where she lived until after graduation, then moved to Detroit, Mi. Beloved wife of the late John S. Bolotnik.
Mother of: Kristeen Bolotnik McKinley (Terry) and Susan Bolotnik Espejo (Javier, deceased). Loving grandmother of: Susan Smith Forton, Kristeen Espejo Hurtado, Marcela Espejo Proskie, Silvia Margret Espejo, and Marco Eduardo Espejo and stepgrandchildren: Donald McKinley (Marikaye), Shawn McKinley, and Perry McKinley (Wendy), and 7 great-grandchildren: Brilee Forton, Adam and Erik McKinley, Jordan and Justin McKinley, and Taylor and Luke McKinley.
Margaret first worked in Detroit at Briggs Mfg. during World War II and later worked many years at Michigan National Bank retiring as an assistant bank manager. After moving to Howell, she was employed through OSHA working 20 hours a week until the age of 82 as an assistant for Howell City Hall, Howell Public Library, The American Cancer Foundation, and the American Red Cross.
Margaret so loved her family, friends, music, dancing, gardening and flowers, reading, crossword puzzles, and rarely turned down an opportunity to play cards. She is remembered as a warm and wonderful Christian woman who always had a kind and encouraging word for everyone she came in contact with.
