Bradley D. Hesch, age 23, of Arcadia, Wis., and formerly of Cochrane died late Sunday evening, July 18, 2004, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Brad was born on February 17, 1981, in La Crosse, Wis., to Dennis and Linda (Luebben) Hesch. Brad was a student of Cochrane-Fountain City High School, graduating with the class of 1999. He then continued his education at UW-Stout, where he graduated in May of 2003, with a degree in telecommunications. Brad immediately began his career at Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc., as a telecommunications technician. Brad had a deep appreciation for music, showing his talents as a member of the C-FC High School band and jazz group Brad earned the John Philip Sousa award — an award voted on by his fellow band members for his outstanding musical talent. Brad was a member of the La Crosse Cub Scout Council, Troop 310, before he became a member of Boy Scout Troop 110, where he earned Scouting’s highest honor, Eagle Scout, in January of 1999. Brad was an active member of the River Valley Riders Snowmobile Club, serving as the club president this past year.
He was an avid hunter, from small game to large game, with either his gun, bow or muzzleloader. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, competing in motocross races, cooking for his friends and family and playing foosball with his younger brother whom he adored and loved so very much.
Brad always found time to help people with whatever they needed, especially with computer problems. He loved to be challenged. Bradley was a loving, caring, Christian man, who, at his young age, could already put the needs of others before his own. His huge heart and loving memory will live on forever.
Brad will be deeply and sadly missed by his mother, Linda (special friend, Bill Cox) Hesch; his father, Dennis (special friend, Beth Killian) Hesch, all of Cochrane; his only brother, whom he loved so much, Joel Hesch, of Arcadia; maternal grandmother, Marcelline Luebben of Hastings, Minn.; several aunts and uncles, Dennis (special friend, Kathy) Luebben of Lakefield, Minn., Janice (Duane) Steele of Hastings, Minn., Carol (Dale) Pankratz of Mountain Lake, Minn., Ron (Barb) Hesch of Winona, Mary (Keith) Fetting of Colfax, Carol (Dave) Skornicka of Eau Claire; also many special cousins and close, dear friends.
Brad was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Walter Luebben; paternal grandparents, Leonard and Caroline Hesch; and his uncle, Larry Hesch.
Mass of Christian burial for Bradley will be celebrated on Thursday, July 22, 2004, at 1 p.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, with the Rev. Rick Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, at Stohr-Hagen-Wozney Funeral Home in Alma, and from noon until the hour of the Mass at the church.
