Ardine Kay Fisher, 69, of , Wernersville, formerly of Pine Grove, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011, at home.
Born on Feb. 17, 1942, in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Frank E. and Flora Heffner Herring.
She was a 1959 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School and a 1963 graduate of Millersville State Teachers College.
Ardine was an elementary school teacher who taught in Bucks Co. for three years and was most recently employed by the Pine Grove Area Elementary School where she taught from 1985 until she retired in 2006.
She was a member of St. Daniel's Lutheran Church, Robesonia, Pa. She was a Sunday School teacher at Hope Lutheran Church, Cherryville, Northampton Co., and at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Auburn.
Surviving are her husband, whom she married Aug. 3, 1963, Rev. Frederick I. Fisher of Wernersville; a son, Atty. Andrew M. and his wife Michele Fisher of Pottstown; two daughters, Dr. Julie M. and her husband Rev. George Schneider of Seven Valleys, PA, and Amy K. and her husband Edward Kovalski of Alburtis, PA; a half brother, Dennis Dietrick of VA; four grandchildren, Andrew F. and Madison E. Fisher; Zoe O. Schneider, and Sophia G. Kovalski; a foster daughter, Leah Geiger and her children Heather and Tracey of Auburn.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1185 Summer Hill Rd., Auburn, with Rev. Kathleen Ash Flashner, Rev. Robert F. Hoenich and Rev. Wayne Heintzelman officiating.
Interment will be in Hetzel's Cemetery, Pine Grove, at the convenience of the family.
The H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove, is in charge of arrangements.
