RUFINA H. APODACA, 91, of Las Cruces entered eternal rest on April 22, 2008. Ms. Apodaca was born October 17, 1916 in Tyrone, New Mexico to Eugene Molina Herrera and Antonia Sorillo Salmon. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Genevieve's Catholic Church.

Survivors include her children, Jenny A. Lopez, Johnny A. Apodaca, Isabel Castle, and Dave Apodaca all of Las Cruces; three sisters, Gloria Taylor of Fairfield, California, Dolores Brown of Tucson, Arizona, and Lucille Anaya of Pico Rivera, California.

Other survivors include eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, as well as her faithful canine companion, Robert. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest D. Apodaca on July 13, 1994.

At Ms. Apodaca's request private family services were held on Friday, April 25, 2008 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church with interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
