EAST PEORIA, IL - Carol J. Herren, 73, of East Peoria passed away at 7:45 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at Maple Lawn Home in Eureka, IL.
Carol was born Dec. 5, 1934, in Peoria, Ill., the daughter of Floyd and Millie Coaster Horn. She married Richard Herren on July 13, 1984, in Springfield, Ill. He survives.
Also surviving are her daughter, Lindi Demanes; her son, Bruce Herberger; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Loran (Anne) Horn and Stanley (Brenda) Bocian; two sisters, Ruth (Jerry) Bradley and Judy Horn; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Carol worked at Caterpillar Inc., setting up computers. She was an Avon representative for 15 years and a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in East Peoria.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the chapel. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
