Norma Jean (Herod) Ball age 76 passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Saint Francis Hospital surrounded by her loving family members.
Norma was born in Mounds, Oklahoma on January 18, 1933 to Leonard Earl Herod and Alma Ruth (Boyer) Herod. She graduated from Kiefer High School and married her high school sweetheart, Clarence Ronald Ball on July 13, 1951. They just celebrated their fifty-eighth year of marriage. Norma was a homemaker and enjoyed working in her garden. She loved being a mother and a grandmother. Norma was preceded in death by her parents: Leonard and Alma Herod and her grandson: Chad Frazier. She is survived by her husband: Clarence R. Ball of Glenpool, Oklahoma; her sons: Steve Ball and his wife, Mary of Houston, Texas; Dan Ball and his wife, Sue of Argyle, Texas; Ron Ball of Glenpool, Oklahoma; her daughter: Linda K. (Ball) Bates and her husband, Mike of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; her brothers: Earl Herod, Paul Herod, Phillip Herod, Lin Herod and her sister: Helen Whitchurch along with twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2009 at Oakwood Cemetery, Mounds, Oklahoma. Reverend Stewart Clark of Cross Roads Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas will officiate.
