Betty Faye Randolph Herin, 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 8, 2016. Viewing and visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, August 12, 2016, at Williams Funeral Directors Chapel. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2016, at the Williams Funeral Directors chapel. Interment will follow in East Delta Cemetery.

Betty was born in Sulphur Bluff, Texas, to the late Walter Perry Randolph and Stella Florence Blount Randolph. Betty met Grady Herin when he took a set of mules over to Sulphur Bluff to get shoes put on in order to harvest the hay meadows. They were married on January 24, 1944, in Hugo, Oklahoma, and raised two boys in Garland, Texas.

Betty was a homemaker and a longtime member of Temple Baptist Church in Garland. She had a love of cooking, working crossword puzzles, sewing baby blankets, and crocheting heirloom blankets for family and friends.

She was preceded in death by eleven siblings.

Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Grady; sons, Scotty Herin and wife, Theresa, and Danny Herin and wife, Dana; grandchildren: Holly Herin, Cade Herin, Jodi Pistler, Marti Ewell, Cody Waldrop; five great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. H5
