Hazel "Lucille" Mehner, age 82, died on March 27, 2011 in Austin, Texas. She was born on October 20, 1928 to Ed Hergotz and Annie Hausmann Hergotz in Austin, Texas.

Lucille was a graduate of Austin High School. On November 30, 1948, Lucille married Miles Lee Mehner. She lived in Travis County all of her life and was a farmer and rancher with her husband Miles. She had a special gift and passion for growing beautiful gardens.

Lucille worked in the Del Valle School District for many years. She loved working at the Travis County Youth Show each year. She was a long time member of Haynie Chapel United Methodist Church in Garfield, Texas.

Survivors include her only son, Martin Lee Mehner, his wife, Nancy Castator Mehner, and grandson, Travis Lee Mehner; sisters, Leona Bolm and Margaret Stubbs; and by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a sister, Mary Huff.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the Haynie Chapel United Methodist Church in Garfield. Burial will follow at Haynie Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eddie Bolm, Ralph Breed, Jerry Hicks, Dennis Kerwin, John Orsak, and Tilvern Stubbs.
