McEACHRAN, Dr. Katie (Age 34) Beloved Dr. Katie Elaine Herdrick McEachran, DVM went to our Lord on May 21st 2009 at her home in the company of her family. She was born to Mel and Ann Herdrick on January 13, 1975 at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, Washington. She lived, grew, worked and played on the family wheat farm in Odessa, Washington where she developed her life long love for animals and the outdoors. An outstanding high school student and athlete, Katie helped her Odessa volleyball teams to four straight state championships. After graduation in 1993, she attended Washington State University receiving a B. S. in Zoology in 1997. Her childhood dream to become a vet was fulfilled in 2002 when she was awarded a Doctorate in Veterinarian Medicine from W. S. U. Until recently, she served on the staff of Peone Pines Veterinarian Hospital in Spokane. She met her soul mate Marc McEachran in 1995 and married September 6, 1997. They have been blessed with three precious children: Grace Elaine, Josten Richard, and Clara Margaret. Katie often proclaimed that of all her accomplishments, she received the most joy and satisfaction from being a mom. Preceding her in death were grandparents Tom McKenna, Allen Herdrick, and In-laws Rich and Margaret (Pegg) McEachran. She is survived by her beloved husband and children; parents Ann McKenna (Tim) and Mel Herdrick(Sylvia); sister Mary Rosman (Joe); and brother Ethan Herdrick; grandparents Anna Elaine McKenna and Emily Herdrick, and an abundance of cherished cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. Memorial Services will be at 1 PM on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Shiloh Hills Fellowship, 207 E. Lincoln Rd. in Spokane.
