ROME -- Mrs. Ada C. Cottrell 72, McConnellsville, die Nov. 1, 1957, in Oneida City Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born on Dec. 2, 1884, in Verona, daughter of Philip and Augusta Herbold,. She was married to Seth J. Cottrell in 1909. Mr. Cottrell died Jan 30, 1950.
Mrs. Cottrell, who had lived in McConnellsville for 38 years, was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church at Churchville.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mahlon A. Ferris, McConnellsville; a son, Earl P., Whitesboro; two sisters, Miss Emma Herbold and Mrs. Bertha Brett, both of Verona; a brother, Herbert, Brittwood and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 3 Monday from the Griffin & Aldridge Funeral Home, the Rev. George E. Kenyon Jr., officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery at Churchville.
